The question that started everything.
“Why does it still cost too much and take too long to move money to Haiti?”
KobKlein founding question, 2023
It started in Haiti, watching family members lose money to fees and wait days to receive money that was already theirs. That single, very Haitian problem is the reason KobKlein exists: Haiti needs financial infrastructure built around its people, businesses, agents, and diaspora families.
We built KobKlein to change that, starting with Haiti and designing for durable national access. Not another wallet, but real financial infrastructure for Personal Accounts, Diaspora Members, Businesses, Agent Partners, and institutional rails working together.
Born in Haiti, born from necessity
Haiti is where the problem was lived first-hand, slow wires, high fees, and wallets that didn’t work across borders. It became the reason, and the proving ground, for everything KobKlein would become.
Engineered from scratch
We built every layer in-house: the wallet engine, the ledger system, the FX corridor, the KYC pipeline, and the AML compliance stack.
